In the new project go to Window->Package Manager and update High Definition RP to the latest version.Create a new project WITH the High-Definition RP (Preview) template.
Install the latest version of Unity 2019.1 (free edition works and is what I used).
Unpack your game of choice that you are modding.Trust us, Dark Souls modding is still difficult, and almost all active modders are in this community and are happy to answer questions. This is because all the archives need to be unpacked, unity needs to be installed, and there needs to be room for imported assets cached in Unity. You'll probably want at least 25GB of storage for DS1 modding and 50GB+ for DS3/Sekiro. Be warned that a lot of disk space is needed.Edit everything about the Dark Souls maps, including unknown properties.Export modified maps directly back to the game in a ready to play manner.Move, add, or delete enemies and objects in a map with the Unity editor in a mostly what you see is what you get manner.Import an entire map including object and enemy placement into a Unity scene.Import object, character, and map assets from Dark Souls 1, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, or Sekiro into Unity.I am currently working on the successor to DSTools (currently called DS Map Studio) which is a standalone modding toolkit that aims to solve many of the issues of DSTools (and Unity). I'm leaving this up, but I don't plan to support issues with DSTools in the future. DSTools is also left in a buggy state where various issues exist for various games. NOTICE: DSTools is effectively abandoned and no future updates are planned. Currently the tools support editing existing maps for the games and allow you to move enemies and objects around, but aims to eventually allow the creation of completely new levels. I just did this, so I know this works, but you have to be quick with the "dashboarding" after each achievement pops.DSTools is a Unity Editor plugin that aims to create an integrated modding solution for Dark Souls 1 (currently only Prepare to Die Edition is supported), Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, and Sekiro. Load game back up again and warp back to Firelink Shrine and give Soul of a Firekeeper to Firekeeper and Pay Firekeeper in Souls to heal your dark sigils then warp back to First Flame, Interact with First Flame to get the To Link the First Flame ending achievement, which is the 3rd ending achievement on one playthrough. As soon as that achievement pops hit the Xbox Button then scroll to Dark Souls III and hit the menu button and go to Manage game & add-ons > Saved data > Delete all. Reload game again and let it sync with Xbox Live and then warp back to Firelink Shrine and give "Eyes of a Firekeeper" to Firekeeper and Return to First flame and Summon Firekeeper using summon sign on ground (DO NOT interact with First Flame) to get the End of Fire Achievement. This will delete your save from the console only (THIS IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN THE "DELETE EVERYWHERE" OPTION, WHICH YOU DO NOT WANT TO SELECT). I reloaded the game and then interacted with the First Flame to get the Usurpation of Fire ending. This will obviously save your game before you make your final decision. Sirris questline has nothing to do with the Usurpation of Fire ending.Īfter killing the Soul of Cinder, I quit the game from the Dark Souls menu and then also quit the game from the Xbox Dashboard. Yes, you can get the proper bow gesture on the Usurpation of Fire run as I just did it.
You also have to have enough souls to heal your dark sigils for the 3rd ending or this won't work. It's possible to get all 3 endings on one playthrough if you can get a friend to drop all the rings for the "Master of Rings" achievement and then do the cloud trick at the end of the game to get all 3 ending achievements.
